Beretta M92FS. made in ITALY

it has:
-meprolight Night sights
-mercury filled spring guide
-little red shock buff thingys

i was thinkin about putting that rail on and an M3 light,

but then decided its best to leave it as is :)

havent really got a chance to REALLY shoot it yet, went to the range for 30 minutes the other day,

only shot off 150 rounds or so.

Nice pistol DeRK, I owned one of the first Beretta's in Canada and I regret selling ever since. I have shot a few since, and I never found the fit and finish to quite match the Italian made originals. I have since vowed to never sell another gun unless it is to purchase another. So far so good. Have fun and enjoy it.

I just joined the "Beretta World" myself and picked up a Beretta 92 SB compact 9mm...

Great choice! Did you happen to buy it from Gunnar at Armco? If so, you did good, that is a very nice little gun. I know, because it used to be mine ;).

Oh, and Derk - congrats. You certainly picked a classy beauty to break your cherry.

Thanks for the comments guys!

the mercury filled guide rod is to reduce recoil i believe...

not too sure, it came with the gun :D

What a beauty. I went to buy one back in 1990 and the gun dealer told me to go with a Taurus copy instead,(life time warrenty) . Bad mistake! Last time I delt with that idiot. Taurus split apart twice before I got my money back. You were way smarter than me !

Yup....I did.

Been thinking I should pick up one of those cheap 96D's that are foating around.
they're DAO models, you'd be better off with a SA/DA model or for the same money (96D) you can get a new Taurus PT99/101 in stainless (SA/DA) 9mm or .40...

Nice pistol you should come out to some S&D's with it.
If it's a 92FS it's 9mm, since it's 9mm the Hiett Red Buffs are not needed. As well the Mercury guide rod is not a benefit either, but if that's all you have use it, it won't hurt anything, the Red Buffs could cause jams though, so keep an eye on them. Once they start to fall apart things jam up quick.
