Year of the magazine, will 3 gun suck?

The Service Rifle Matches have always limited themselves to 5 round magazines.
And they seem to have no problem filling up huge match rosters.

Plate carriers and chest rigs are quite popular with that crowd.
Which is good because it allows them to carry a ton of rifle mags.

This is what 35 rifle rounds looks like in 5 round mags.

Here is my setup:

Its only 200rds if you count it in 5rds mag :p

Trying to convince an anti that you "need" normal capacity mags for competition is a recipe for disappointment as almost all "need" arguments inevitably are.

Competitive shooting has, in the past, and will continue to go a long way towards preserving our ability to own and shoot restricted firearms in Canada but as sad as it makes me to type this, it is unlikely to save our magazine capacity. Hopefully I'm wrong.

You are probably right, but something we should all keep in mind is that there are a lot of countries that have much stricter gun laws that we do. However, many of these over restrictive governments still allow competitors to have full capacity magazines.

ask the British how they have to cross the Channel just to enjoy and shoot handguns in Belgium....

i do not like it but we adapt and continue the fight for sure ...
