Yes Another AR first build

Hey guys. Well I completed my first AR build. I'm not new to firearms but I was a total AR noob. I'd only ever held one twice and had never fired one. Lol.
So I wanted a little project to work on evenings over the winter. Without spending a pile of money. So I traded some stuff I wasn't using with an awesome Cgn'er for this.

Lol I know what an ugly piece. I wasnt complaining it was well worth what i traded. So I cleaned all that ugly paint off. The upper receiver was unfired. Barrel 11" unknown round count. Lower was low round count. I had quite a few parts already and the rest I picked up off the EE from great members. So after all my hard work here it is.

Sorry about the background. Redoing the spare room. Lol
I think it turned out pretty good for a budget build. Let me know what you think.

That initial paint job is extraordinarily hidious. I can't believe someone somewhere at somepoint thought it looked good.

Thanks guys!! Yeah that paint job terrible!! I'm not really a fan of painted guns anyway but thats just wrong. Lol
Yes I like the magpul trigger guard too and will pick one up eventually. My only access to AR stuff is CGN.

I also have a surefire light that I picked up cheap!!! In a deal but it's kinda beat up so I didn't include it in the pic. It adds so much weight out on the end of the barrel not really liking it
