Just so everybody knows, I bought a 30/06 clip conversion for my Weatherby Vanguard in 257 WBY MAG to see if it would function. IT DOES, fits 3 cartridges and feeds perfect every time. I don't know how to put pictures up on here but if you want pics PM me. Mine is a stainless gun and it looks pretty cool

Interesting note : feeds rounds every time with the factory stock but when I put it on my Boyds thumbhole laminate stock it feeds the 1st round then short strokes the next one every time. I think I will need to shim it a bit on the Boyds to make it function properly.

As you can see there is still room in the clip if your gun will take it. My handload is seated to 3.250" MAX in my gun.
120gr. Nosler Partitions @ 3250 fps. Fireformed Remington 7mm brass, 67 grs. IMR 7828, FED 215 LRM. Shoots an honest 3 shot 3/4" group @ 200 yds if I do my part. Same load with 120 Speer SP shoots a little tighter yet, can't wait for the new DeepCurls!!!

No problem, we tried 257 WBY, 7mm Rem Mag and 300 Win Mag factory rounds in the clip before buying it. Took all rounds with room to spare. Only tried chambering 257 Wby in my gun at home though. Others will most likely work fine but I can only say for sure my gun does. Deer are going to get a surprise this year!

Charlie is there a difference between the 257 follower and the new one in the removable mag? This may explain some of your problem.
