Got some proper sights on. Project complete!

A close up of the custom metallic colour that mixed for this project.

Shoots awesome. That's why I decided to give it some TLC. It's the steel they use. It the heaviest of all my 1911s making the recoil almost none existent. Tighten the slide to frame fit and an EGW bushing really help with the accuracy.

Looks nice. The Norc 1911 is like buying a Chevy vega. Not the nicest or fastest but cheap and once it's modified its bad ass and can perform like a high dollar monster.

I pimped up a SAM 4.25" for my brother. Sights, trigger job, ambi safety and a trip to the gunsmith for a few things and the thing shoots amazing for $480 + accessories
Same idea I guess

Wait for it.......some @$$hole's going to come by and give you the whole "lipstick on a pig" routine.

Looks sick though, love how you ground down the top of the slide. Wish I had the skills to do that to mine.

I've been shooting a commander length Norinco for the past 2 years that I love. That gun of yours looks SICK!! Would you have a breakdown of all the costs of each improvement and where they were done? P.M. if you aren't comfortable with giving $$ values on-line. I may just be sending mine for your same treatment. Mine already shoots well and is very reliable.

Rustspot did that with a file and Dremel (I wish I had the skillz as well). He also did the cerakoting as well. :)

I wouldn't of spent a dime on this if it wasn't a shooter. So I totally get the lipstick on pig thing. All in I'm under $750 with cost of the pistol, parts and labour. It's got all Dlask internals and hammer. So for a price of a Ruger its looks good and shoots amazing. It's got a glass clean 2.5lb trigger.

Don't get me wrong I just bought a STI DVC limited and Costa as sweet as those are its just different building something unique.
