Front and rear sights are from Dlask. The slide had to be milled to fit the sights.



The grips are Hogue Extremes, cant afford VZs I'm on a budget.

I just had my Norc Cerekoted as well, but I didn't do the frame as I was worried the bead blasting would wipe out the serial number (light stamping).

Were you able to preserve your serial number?

Got rid of all the China Markings.... Serial no. still there Rustspot is a professional painter so no problem applying it proper and thin.

Thank you guys for the kind comments. Most of the work was done with hand tools and a Dremel other than milling the slide for the front and rear sights.

1911 is such an excellent platform, lots of resources and parts. Even if you own nicer 1911s get a Norc and work on it. You learn so much by messing around trying to improve things.

Outstanding work. You made a good 1911 even better. My stock Norincos shot better than any of my 6 stock Colts ever did, except for the Officer's Model.

Norkie 1911s are worth upgrading because they've got the foundation for an excellent custom gun even without a hefty price tag or fancy name. In fact I think it's got better DNA than the original.
