Yeah - those bikes aren't too common here. It is a Chinese clone, right? My friend in Whistler owns one, I take the kids around on it often, but it sure isn;t a fun highway bike.

I hope your friend gets it back.

If you haven't done so already, you might want to post this on the Maple Leaf Up forum. They have a very active military vehicle collector network who would gladly help and be sure to spot such a distinctive MV.

Edit: I've passed the pics to a member of MLU to speed up the search.

That one is in a container heading for ME or Eastern Europe.....
I doubt it would go that route unless it is an actual BMW Vs Chinese clone, and even if it was a BMW there are plenty in Europe to buy.
Sorry to read of your friends bike/trailer being stolen.

Sadly , they will probably separate the bike and the side car , or maybe strip the whole bike for parts , and sell it that way . A family member had his Kawi ZX10R stolen years ago , and never seen it again . The cops said it was probably taken out of province right away and stripped for parts .

Sorry for your friend. I hope he gets it back but.........

My Kawasaki 500 2 stroke triple was stolen in 1977 and despite all the years I'd like to get the thief on the ground and punch his face until his eyes come out of their sockets.

Would be nice to find it but I figure with the police knowing how insurance works and no one having gotten hurt, I doubt your friend will be lucky enough to see it again.

Know what you mean, always like riding the Machs and the acceleration.

It's a pretty unique piece of equipment. You should publicize the theft, with photos, serial numbers, etc. as much as you can, on regular media, facebook, posters, Buy and Sell mags, etc..

Hopefully, it will make the bike that "hot" that the thieves won't be able to do anything with it.

It could force them to dump it.
