You know, I didn't think of it much at the time...Maybe I take where I live for granted...
But when we were up on that perch looking through the spotting scope, Cam muttered..."Yeah, this is what I want to do with my life, this is what I have been missing.."
Cam is an Aussie, he used to work for me in Whistler. He married a Canadian gal and they moved to Australia, they returned a couple of years ago, to live on the Island near his wifes family. They have a 5yr old and another on the way. LAst year I got hima used 30-06 Ruger and he shot a small deer, on his own, so he is progressing.
I just forgot how amazing our part of the world is, until I get reminded...

A few years ago, i was charged by 3 grouse, and only CNS hits from my 300WSM stood between me and certain death...
You are, of course, correct. So I upgraded and recently purchased a CZ SXS 20 guage Bobwhite from my Gun Pimp. I may have to load it with MAGNUM shells, in case of a charge!
Besides, the H&H is to valuable to leave in the back of the truck while I go pee at a gas station.
