Yet Another: Battle of the Combos - 870 vs 500

I have 2 870s..a wingmaster thats about as old as I am and a new 870 deer and turkey version - 23" cantilever rifled bbl, and a 21" rem choke v/r. I also have a 500 in .410. Haven't really handled a 500 in 12ga but the one thing I do like about the mossberg is the tang safety. But go handle each and see which one fits you better first.
 
I've got an 870 Express 26" barrel I bought on the site new for $300. I added an 18.5" barrel from Bashaw's for $125, a short fore-end and a tacstar 6 shot sidesaddle. Total is less than $500 and I'm plesaed with it. Next step will likely Amacoat the succker...

The 870 Combo is a proven shotgun... it has good resale value... it has reams of aftermarket stuff... the slug barrels work good.
What was the other choice again????
