Yet another BCL102 review

So got the BCL102 in hand in the mail today, headed right to the range to test it out.

Slapped on a SMRS 1-6.5x on there, shot 100x Norinco FMJ and 20x Nosler 165 Match

The Good
  • Tight upper to lower fit
  • Cycles the brass cased Noslers that I had just fine.

The Bad
  • The trigger really needs to be replaced, wouldn't reset 100% until I took a stone to the hammer hook
  • Wouldn't cycle steel case Norinco FMJ reliability until the tail end of the 100 rounds that I had to test with

Pretty decent accuracy for a semi auto IMO, would probably get 1 MOA if you work up a load.
Awesome price for what you get in all seriousness.
Sucks that Norinco steel case didn't work out well for me, I'm hoping the gun just needs to be broken in more. I would really love to use this in heavy metal 3 gun one of these days.

Really! I would describe mine as light and spotty, my first impression was "WTF?". The Cerekote finish looks good but there are a number of small machining marks and my rails don't quite line up. Maybe I got a Friday night special.

Driller you poor bugger, I thought mine was the last one to show up!

Nah there are still a number of us waiting for a shipment to get to TSE this week.
 
Hey guys just orderd one yesterday kinda new to the whole AR style would like to know what magazines ill need for the bad sally maybe a link to the spit to buy them would be appreciated thanks ....
 
Depends what you want for mags. You can get xcr-m pistol mags, pmags, imi mags, ASC mags, and the list goes on and on. Easiest thing is just to google it and order from the cheapest vendor. If you want to support good customer service, wanstalls, wolverine, or SFRC would be my choices.

Magazine Compatibility: DPMS metal mags don't work because of the thick wall at the front of the magazine where the metal wraps around, IMI, PMAGs, and XCR-M mags should work

XCR-M magazines may need to be modified to work as shown below. The magazine on the left is an example of a functional magazine, and the one on the right will not work properly in a BCL-102. If it is needed, filing of the area shown in the photo will make the magazine functional.
