I picked this one up a couple of years ago and it has taken quite awhile to gather the correct parts and put this one back to original configuration.
It is a somewhat rare (although there have been several on the EE lately) Israeli K98k still in the original 7.92x57 chambering. You can see the Israeli proofs and acceptance marks on the reciever but no large 7.62 stamping. The stock has a Hebrew marking similar to an "n" to denote the 7.92 caliber.
The stock was the hardest part to find, with new never issued IDF buttplate, handguard, bands, and sight hood rounding off the restoration.
Nick at Vulcan Refinishing did the parkerizing job.
Also note the notches in the bolt handle. These had been parkerized by the Israeli's so I assume they may be from WWII? Kind of interesting.
