I was drawn for trophy antelope this year and headed down south. We had a great time , and after looking over 10 good bucks and most of the zone I found this old buck on a huge grain field. I was able to take him at 100 yards with the 6.5-06. Yes this rifle has become quite a game getter and although i did not have to tap into its 300 yard potential on this shot, I have shot 4 coyotes this past week on my farm all over 300 yards.

For those unfamiliar with the pedigree
Original Kimber 89 BGR 270 bought by RickF
Rebarrelled with 26" pac Nor to 6.5-06 and stock reworked by Bill Leeper
traded to Toller then to Casull
Then sold to me:D:D

I have now taken 7 deer 11 coyotes 1 antelope with this rig

I used 140gr SSTs with 52gr RL22 CCI Mag primers

Simply a dream rifle to shoot and pretty much leaves anyone handling it to want to forsake their Tikkas and Rems for it. Definitely one of a few .5MOA rifles I have witnessed.

I will say that the SST is abit explosive at 100 yards! Great for bucking the wind and accurate, but very quick opening.

FYI this goat is 15 3/4 tall and will score about 78

Congrats on your pronghorn. It must have been a good year for them because a lot of guys seem to be shooting 77" + bucks this fall.

Wow, that's a great goat. Be careful with that beautiful rifle, it's almost touching the exit wound.

You should have seen the entrance! I shot him twice, as he was on the edge of a canyon, and the two shots were about 3" apart but there was about a 5" entrance hole, partly because the second shot was quarytering away.

Very envious Battle River. Great lope and good to see someone hunting with class! Better haul a pail of water with you next time. Lol I had to wash my Ewe off quite a bit but it was worth using all my drinking water.

Again, congrats!
