Yet ANOTHER NS522 thread!

I believe in another thread someone said there is only 5-6 left so if you want one jump on it.

They have 60 of the stocks made in Italy ($200) and 4 left of the Bishop ($279) but they won't ship to Canada.
Scott...

That's weird because they told me today no problem shipping to Canada.
Hello Mike,

We do have a few of the NS522 stocks available. We are going to let a couple go for 200.00ea and we can ship to Canada. These stocks are NOS and have been sitting on our warehouse for several years.

A Little history.
Some of the first NS522 stocks KFS produced were the Bishop American Walnut stocks. Bishop went out of business and we had to switch manufactures for the remaining Ns522 rifles. We found a manufacture in Italy that was able to produce the same design and include the inlayed checkering we were after. However, this company produced the stocks out of Circassian Walnut.

The Ns522 stock action inlet, is not like any other standard action out there. (Anschutz etc.) While it is based on the Anschutz action, the stock had to be specifically made to fit the Ns522. Back in the day, we had to purchase special tooling to get these stocks produced.

Chloe from KFS told me they couldn't ship to Canada either, that's weird. :S

"HI Derek,
We do have stock and 5rd magazine for NS 522, the stock is $200.00 plus shipping but we only can ship in the US address.
If you have any more questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Chloe"

That's the same girl I talked to. I think she must be am owner or daughter of the owner because her last name is Keng.
Scott...

That is weird, some saying they will, some saying they won't ship to Canada. Someone on CGN recently posted that he had ordered one from Keng's. Strange, as I can't see that much of a demand in the US for these stocks, so it seems they would want to sell them if they could.

A guy in the US makes stocks for them...not overly expensive but not Chinese priced either lol
Must be Don Stith. He's the only guy I've heard of who offers a stock for the NS-522, and that's probably because he has a 522 or two of his own.

Maybe they'll do the deal if we're doing a group buy? I don't mind the crappy bolt cutout but if there's a nicer stock, maybe I'll go for it.

Perhaps the inclusion of a magazine was the deal breaker.

That would be me! Picked mine up today across the border in Sumas Wa , where we have a ship to address. Was very excited about the stock until I installed it on the rifle.
There is a very noticeable gap behind the trigger guard .Very disappointed as I was told they went and hand picked the stock.Other than that the stock is great.

Okay, now we know how you got one into Canada, anyway. Too bad about the trigger guard gap problem, but I'll bet you will like the Bishop stock much better than the EM-332 stock your 522 came with.

With the exception of the gap it has transformed a $199.00 looking rifle into a $500.00 plus one. Can't help but compare it to the CZ 452 American stock I had.
The barrel is free floated with no sanding from me.

Is there any other comparable stock that could be altered to fit, like a nice thumhole wood stock I got from Boyds for my Marlin 795?

I have seen that stock and it is a pretty nice looking walnut with checkering. If it only has that small imperfection I think the value would be substantially increased. sam hill can you post some pics with close ups of the stock?
