In general, I find that newbies to shooting, myself included, enjoy these threads while waiting for their license to be issued so here is my timeline.

April 28/29: Courses and Exams passed
May 13th: App sent to Miramichi Xpresspost
May 17th: Signed for at Miramichi
June 4th: Application shows up online
June 7th: Stamped exam results received from CFO
June 8th: Results faxed
June 11th: status changed to in progress
June 12th: Called in for interview
June 13th: 1st reference interview done
June 15th: 2nd reference interview done
June 15th: An hour after interview...License issued!

29 days from date received.

Good luck Ontario shooters.

Looks like yours got through without hiccups. Nice! I'm moving along as well. Faxed in my test results on Tuesday and noticed my status changed to "completed initial processing" instead of "in progress" I'll give 'em a holler next week to see if I can get my interviews done before I leave for 3wks. Hopefully I can get it all wrapped up so by the time I get back, I'll see a shiny card in my mail. Fingers crossed!

how would i know the date it was recieved?

When you check your application status online, it will say when it was received which is generally a lot earlier than the time it takes to show up online.

I sent my apps via FedEX on May 21 and signed for on the 22nd. Took almost 3wks to finally show up online and I was expecting the 28day wait to start that day. Surprisingly enough, the Received Date was May 24 so the 28 day clock was already ticking down.

Both my wife and I called today after the application first showed up online. Very pleasant people on the phone and they put us through directly to do our interviews.

It did take almost three weeks to show up online though.

I was waiting to call on Thursday since that would be my 29th day after the received date but I got lucky and they called me and my references for the interviews today! Ball is now entirely in their hands.

Just checked the CFC website and it now shows "licence issed".... woooohooooo!
Thats just about 30 days from recieving my ap.
I never did call. And it did take about 3 weeks to show up on line.
So hang in there, sometimes it does work out.

I have heard from a few people that things seem to be moving along a little quicker now.

I just seen online my RPAL License issued after only 28 days waiting period. And only one reference being interviewed. I must have be lucky after reading many posts on this board.
