Hi All,
I have had this SKS for a short bit, thoroughly cleaned it free of all Cosmoline, even sonic cleaned key parts in Naptha.
It is as clean as it can get.
When the fireing pin was apart I found a burr on the machineing where the cross lock pin went, dressed it with a file and it's smooth.
It seems that no matter what I do, I cannot get this thing to stop slam fireing.
I have seen many people recommend Murry's fireing pin and seen comments that both claim it works and claim it's junk.
Anyone here tried it, is it worth spending the $50 on a sub $200 gun to make it usable?
Now before an armchair smith gets all uppity and clams the fireing pin is not clean enough inside and I missed some cosmo...
