Yet Another Tavor Top Rail Option

Manticore Arms has started promoting something they're calling the "Tavor Overwatch" rail.

Talk about changing the look of that gun! Completely different silhouette from what I expect a Tavor to look like.

I like it...I've found the Tavor rail a little too low and even using high mounts for compact optics like and RMR felt a little low.

I prefer a raised rail like this one to permit lower mounts...the FS2000 has one, although not as high as the Overwatch (The FS2000's feels a bit low to me for a raised rail).

The Overwatch looks like it could be the perfect height for an RMR or Aimpoint Micro with the low factory mount.

I noticed they had a few Tavor aftermarket options. Has anyone dealers with these folks before?
Looking at perhaps picking up a forened since I can't find or they are sold out (Wolverine) a key mod hand guard.

We stock Gear Head Works, and are midway through the export process with Manticore Arms.

On a serious note, I like the new rail option, but then again, I like the T97 with the FTU.. If it only had a paddle-style mag catch, a more forgiving magwell and a better safety position, I would have never picked up an AR.

You'll need to send LOTS of rds down the pipe before you need to replace the barrel - to the point where getting another Tavor's a drop in the bucket lol

If you can't get your face down far enough to get a comfortable sight picture, then yes this is great.

Good option, that will make the typical AR mounts compatible with teh TAVOR. The OEM rail is lined up with the stock, that makes all the mounts designed for AR15 too low. If you are an AR guy, it will give you the same cheek wield with the TAVOR.
