Yet another "which scope thread"

So I've been turning my brain to mush reading reviews on a few scopes in the 4-500$ range. Maybe 600$ if I have to.
I'm looking at a few different scopes:
Nikon monarch 4-16x42
Bushnell 5-15x40 elite tactical
vortex viper 6.5-20x44
falcon 4-14
If anybody knows where I can go look through some nikon's or vortex's in the renfrew/ottawa, Huntsville or Brampton/Orangeville area let me know please.
I am open to other suggestions but it has to have a mil (maybe moa) reticle, and target or tactical turrets.
I am interested in the Bushnell as you can get it with mil turrets, same goes for the falcon, plus its FFP. (would prefer matching reticle/turrets) I have a falcon 1.5-5 on an M14. I like it, but I've read too many mixed reviews to be set on a bigger one.

The scope will be going on a savage in 243. I mostly punch paper with it (500M or so but I might have found a place to shoot to 1300M) I will take it coyote hunting and such on occasion.
Yes I know a lot to ask on a tight budget, thats why I'm looking for more opinions.

try to find yourself a used Leopold Mark4 with target turrets....proven scope since forever

I'd love to get myself a decent Leupold. I've been cruising the EE for a little while off and on. I have missed a few good deals. But generally my personal opinion is that I might as well buy new after looking at some used scope prices

Have some patience...they do pop up. Got my LR/T 3.5-10 for $850 shipped (did have some undisclosed cosmetic damage, but doesn't effect it at all)...
