YHM freefloat forend

Just wondering if any guys have these mounted. I am going to put one on my 9mm ar and want to know if the end filler cap is needed if you use the A2 sights.

You don't "need" the end cap for any configuration. It's just for cosmetics.

You will have to remove your FSB to install it.

Well I didn't want to get it mounted and then not like a big space around the sight. Not sure if the FSB covers it all and I'm not at the shop to measure it. Maybe I will get one to be sure.

Yup I got it

I have an extra end cap since I cant mount it... My gasblock is in the way... For the price Its the best bang for bucks... and the way it mounts is bulletproof...

I guess I will measure it to be sure. But it looks like the stock handguard cap will be a little small.

I had the cap on mine for a while and it filled the space nicely, IIRC.

The combo tool? The one I have won't work on the jam nut. I used a flat-bladed screwdriver set in the notches as a punch to tighten it.
