I would deserve something similar as the replacement gun!
LOL, I know he picked through them for you but your expectations may be a little high
Of all the hundreds of firearms, many 'high end' that have come through the shop, this may be the best exhibition we've seen.

I just bought my buddy's yildiz mentioned in the first post, the more i shoot the gun the more I like it.
My buddy wanted a newer fancier one and bought the MX Trap with the raised comb, and 30" ported barrels.

I just got back the replacement shotgun. It is a beauty! It's quite late so I didn't take too many pictures but here are 3:
The wood is even nicer than on the first one:
Here is the firing pin on the old one. You can see that the tip of the firing pin is behind the faceplate:
Here is the new one.You can see that the firing pin is in the correct position, in the firing pin hole:
It seems the firing pin held in place by a crosspin. I didn't take apart the old one, but I can imagine that the problem can be caused if that crosspin is missing so the firing pin can fall too far back when the gun is cocked.
The other red arrow shows that the new one has a different locking lug. I found a few other differences between the two, it seems this is a bit different design. (the serial of the first one was E8xx, the new one is E12xx) So I think the problem solved, the case can be closed, and I'm really satisfied with the result. This gun is exactly what I was looking for: an inexpensive, light, very good looking hunting gun. Thanks for everyone who were involved!

No, the problem cannot come back. Now the firing pin is sitting in the channel properly, so it cannot hit the faceplate.
Although I've found another problem but I was able to fix it with a dremel. Sometimes the sear didn't release the hammer when I pulled the trigger. Here is a pic of the part I have to file down a little bit and I've linked a short movie (6MB) to show the problem.
And here is the movie:

So all is well now, hopefully it will serve me for a while.

I bought A SPZ-ME 12 from Clay at Prophet river about 8 months ago. I am extremely happy with this gun!!
I have fired about 1000 trap loads and 3-400 Kent 3" BB Faststeel shells without a single problem. My girlfriend (130 Lbs) absolutely loves shooting it with the trap loads. This is the first shotgun that she has fired and she commented that it didn't even kick that much.

Went out last night and shot a couple of rounds of skeet with my new SPZ 12ga O/U from Prophet River, and am totally pleased! I did fill the drawbolt hole with lead shot, as from reading the reports recoil could be a bit much, and it was a total pussycat and much more comfortable to shoot than my Mossberg 835. Very nice wood, great fit and finish, and smooth (though quite stiff yet) operation. Looking forward to busting a lot more clays now!
