So I finally got around to ordering a Yo-Dave Trigger Spring kit for my CZ-452 and it arrived yesterday. I found it on ebay.
To be honest, I was looking for a better solution... something like a full adjustable replacement trigger, but couldn't find anything that seemed worth while.
Since the Yo-Dave kit was cheap, I thought I'd take my chances.
Anyway... Installation was a bit tedious as I had to take the trigger apart several times to determine which spacer tube was the best fit for sear engagement. It was also a bit of a trick holding the tube in line with the roll pin at the front of the trigger while tapping it.
Well that was the worst of it, then I got to testing the various springs... That part wasn't too bad... Just had to be careful to make sure the rear pin was aligned with the hole on the far side of the trigger before tapping too aggressively.
So end result was a drop in trigger pull weight from 3.5 pounds to just a hair under 1 pound.
There still seems to be a little creep, so maybe I should go with the next thicker spacer tube, or perhaps just polish the contact surfaces which in retrospect I should have done while it was apart.
It was actually working fine at 3/4 pound, but I increased the tension on the spring nut to get it into a safer range. (Yo_Dave says not to run it under 2 pounds... What does he know ~~~ just kidding)
So two thumbs up for the Yo-Dave spring kit. It's more effective than I would have thought.
