So I finally got around to ordering a Yo-Dave Trigger Spring kit for my CZ-452 and it arrived yesterday. I found it on ebay.

To be honest, I was looking for a better solution... something like a full adjustable replacement trigger, but couldn't find anything that seemed worth while.

Since the Yo-Dave kit was cheap, I thought I'd take my chances.

Anyway... Installation was a bit tedious as I had to take the trigger apart several times to determine which spacer tube was the best fit for sear engagement. It was also a bit of a trick holding the tube in line with the roll pin at the front of the trigger while tapping it.

Well that was the worst of it, then I got to testing the various springs... That part wasn't too bad... Just had to be careful to make sure the rear pin was aligned with the hole on the far side of the trigger before tapping too aggressively.

So end result was a drop in trigger pull weight from 3.5 pounds to just a hair under 1 pound.

There still seems to be a little creep, so maybe I should go with the next thicker spacer tube, or perhaps just polish the contact surfaces which in retrospect I should have done while it was apart.

It was actually working fine at 3/4 pound, but I increased the tension on the spring nut to get it into a safer range. (Yo_Dave says not to run it under 2 pounds... What does he know ~~~ just kidding)

So two thumbs up for the Yo-Dave spring kit. It's more effective than I would have thought.

My brother and I grabbed 4 kits and put them in all 4 of our 452s (.17hmrs and 22lrs, 2 RH and 2 LH). They made a considerable difference and for the price, one cant go wrong. For just a plinking/hunting gun, i it's great!

I’m happy with mine however I was unable to fit any so we tunes in at all. The smallest one had almost zero sear engagement and was unsafe in my opinion. But I’m very happy with the spring as it has produced a very nice light pull

I’m going through the process of trying to find the combination of spring to shim in a 452 lux so far un able to use any of the shims that will pass bump test. Next step is to try just the roll pin in stead of the factory pin. I’m just catching the cz bug and having lots of fun with it

Which spring are you using?

Started with the light spring. Trying the next one up next time I get a chance. I’m new to the site just today I’m trying to find the cz .22 guys. To swap notes with. Just got a 455 lux and a 452 lux in the last 2 months.

The next spring from the lightest gives the same results. Made for light trigger with light spring and blue shim. Just don’t trust it. Hopefully just the roll pin alone will give me the results I’m after. An improved trigger over the already good trigger it has. Great kit for the money

Never needed a shim on either of my CZ's. I was able to get the results I wanted with just a spring.

The lightest spring and roll pin from the kit. Seems to be the best It’s going to be. Really nice. Just need a scope and a trip to the range to try things out. Hopefully Saturday is nice weather to get out for some group therapy
