Hey, all.
I was directed here by a guy who goes by the handle "desporterizer" on this forum: http://russian-mosin-nagant.com/mambo/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=105
Pleased to meet you all. I'm hoping to find some info on an issue that's been giving me some grief, but more on that later. In the mean time I can say that I was shooting .22s, .303s and 30-30s in my mid- to late-teens and spent nearly a year in the CAF Reserve (Infantry) and checked out on FNC1, C2, and Stirling SMG.
I recently got back into firearms because I'm interested in historical re-enacting, as well as target shooting. I own a repro transitional 2nd model Brown Bess musket and a Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 rifle. I got my PAL last February.
I've never been a hunter, not that I have anything against it, but my Dad wasn't into it, and it's one of those things that if it skips a generation, it's not likely going to continue. YMMV.
Anyway, I'm mostly here to learn, so I'll be lurking most of the time. Best to you all.
