Guess?
You know, I was content with my current collection...a few .22s and a sporterized .303, but since I joined this site...a week and a half a go, I have bought four rifles. I thought it would end there...but now I want a N01 MKIII!!

THANKS!!

:D

MWAhahaahhahahahaa - welcome!

And yeah, you'll be needing a No4 Mk1 after that.

And then a K98 for opposition.

But the russians where there too, can't forget them - so a MN 91/30.

But what about the pacific theater? Can't forget that....

Oh- I already have a No1 Mk III, I need a Gew 98 for the opposing weapon of WW1... but the french where part of that too, I wonder what they used...

Don't worry man, it's like heroine - the excuses for needing are easier to justify as you get deeper.

Hey Wally...the damage is done....Those four rifles include your list...I went with the No4Mk1*LB over the MKII and I grabbed a Mauser and an M1, as well as a 91/30. All but the MN came from P&S, and I would buy from Jean again in a minute!

You're going to want bayonettes, reloading dies, and spare safe queens soon too:evil:

I like your choices - I spent too long dithering on prices before I realised I could get nice stuff, and the prices are only going up!

Ok...I am ready to dive in again...what the hell, everthing I own is payed for:D...Should I go for the No4MII or a No5 JC??

I'd consider getting a Swiss K31 while a couple of dealers still have some. In the US they've been steadily going up in price over the past year and there's only so many of them to go around.

As to JC or #4Mk2, I'd say take whatever you could find in better condition. If you like to hunt in close cover, the JC would be of advantage there, though the #4 is better for the range.

Welcome to the addiction!

You guys aren't helping!! :D

What if I don't hunt and I want to shoot distance? Does that mean the MKII??

Get the best WWI dated SMLE you can find and don't look back cause down the road it is going to be worth way more then you pay for it, even if you pay a bit too much. Very good choice in a "need" rifle. Remember milsurps are TSE/TSX proof!

Too true! I've got my own hedge fund of tinned corned beef, bottled water and my 30-06 Enfield to ride out this bear market.

well this one will probably be available soon :)

See ya at the range Berger :D

I see a reloading kit in your near future....

It is the next logical step!

Start saving your brass...because you will be reloading...

I started off with a Rem 597 and well, long before that, just a Win .20ga break off... and now I've almost 30 firearms, 25 of which I acquired last year alone, with reloading gear and a workshop. Yep, all in one year. Four of those are handguns.
