You black rifle guys are all EVIL!!!

But I'm a liberal (on some things anyway) and I LOVE my black rifles.

I think one can make a distinction here between "Liberal" with a capital "L", as in the political party, versus liberal, as in "open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values" (as per the dictionary).

It would seem the OP is liberal, too, in that last sense, since he was open to trying black rifles, and move beyond his "traditional values" of bolt guns and milsurp. (Though I don't imagine he "discarded" those values.. I don't agree with that last part of the definition. "modify traditional values" suits me better)

So in that sense, I consider myself liberal, too, but most absolutely not "Liberal" !!

I just bought my second AR, :d and I'm now buying a pile of bits for it, even though it hasn't landed on my doorstep yet.

This is why I went for a sa15.7 as first AR. Wanted close to military and besides the front little rail thing and the scope it's pity much there. So not much to mess with, it just works. Kiss rifle in this case. Tho when cash opens up a core 15 may make apparent as the base for a build lol

I was the same outside of be so against AR. I just love the older wood rifles. AR alot more expensive but you get to customize how you want. I try not to look at my AR so I dont get the urge to spurge all my excess $$$ on it.

I sold my one and only ar a few months ago, then one day at the range a fella had a vintage 70's SP1, made the mistake of trying it out for a spin. That was a bad thing to do as i was now hooked! Found a really nice one for myself here a few weeks ago.
In the process of fully stripping and cleaning it (hasnt seen action in 4-5 years) will most likely be ready in a few days.

I bought my first AR this year, a Bushmaster 10.5" barrel, part of that group purchase or deal that was going on...can't be happier. BUT I don't play with barbies, so you won't see anything hanging off...the carry handle/sight is removable so I will likely have an optic set aside for it, but that is all. To each their own, right?

I bought a Nork for my first one. Then I wanted a Canadian built one so bought a NEA. Then Colt released theirs so I bought one of those as it was really what I wanted.

NEA will be sold off now......and I will build stuff!!
