its called "one in the chamber". we train to rack the gun with one hand off our gear. I cant see it being done against the side of his chest. There isnt enough resistance in soft tissue to do it without leaving a nasty mark.
 
Hoochie, he doesnt touch any part of his body, it is all just resistance.
going backwards, then forward quickly.

It is impossible with a stock gun. There isnt enough weight in the slide to make the spring go back like that. A regular, stock spring anyways. They are too stiff.
 
my theory is, this was acted out. There was one in the chamber already, and when he racked it it didn't do a full chambering motion, just enought to make it look like it did. Then everything is all hunky dory from there.
 
If you were to add some weight (as in lead?) at the end of the slide somewhere near the rear sight, it *might* give it enough momentum to cycle and chamber a round. The lead would basically drag the slide with it much further if a fast backward motion were applied.

BUT a stock Glock without mods.. no way in hell. :ninja:


P.S. What the hell is that, in the back of his pistol? It doesn't look like a "stock" rear sight to me... I've got a G17 and it's WAY smaller. Like I said... probably a chunk of lead or some sort of a weight that's added.

if you look at the above picture you will notice the trigger is in the rearmost position, SO, there could not have been a round in the chamber..... according to the nerds on glocktalk this is a real video and the guy does it alot.

In that case, maybe the guy replaced the rear sight with a weight and changed the springs? Would be easy to do in a Glock.

Anyway, my G17 wouldn't move half an inch even if Mike Tyson himself were to try to "rack it" like that, lol. There's definitely more than meets the eye in this video, whether the video itself is real or not.

The very idea of the recoil spring is to be able to drive the slide forward with enough force to push a round past the mag lips and drive it into battery. Plus, to slow the slide down enough to not hammer the frame when the slide is on its way back.

These two items mean you need a fairly hefty spring, which makes me think this video is not 100% above board.
 
Ok, I just tried it with my G17 and could only get the slide to come back about 3/4". Then I tried it with my G20C and was able to do it no problem at all. It's actually easy.
 
I'm not sure of the Glock model but it's the one with the longer barrel, so there is more mass to the slide than a G17. If I still had a semi I would love to try this.

Yep, mass... that's why I was able to do the G20 and not the G17. It's one of those things that you never tried because it's just not something that you'd ever think would work. When you see someone else do it, ya go... hmmm if he can do it then I can do it. Sure 'nuff, I can do it too.:ninja:
 
I want to know how they got Chuck Norris to shave before filming him do that.

Because only Chuck Norris could do that.
 
It seems he is wearing a Bullet proof vest, and perhaps with the aftermarket site ( for the bigger notch on the rear sight) it can rack against the edge of the vest or shooting jacket.

I know they sell metal rear sights for duty guns for shooter which prefer to sometimes rack the gun on the holsters or belts.
