Nope. But my buddy next to me always wears his eyes now while shooting. Go figure.Holy Truck. I'll bet that made you poop a little when it happened.
My 870 didn't fail, my POS Norinco 780 failled so I've been replacing the Norinco parts in it with 870 parts.
I paid $90 for it new from SFRC back in January or February.

If you have any for sale at that price I'll take two please.why not just toss the entire thing in the trash and buy a 2 3/4" Wingmaster receiver for $150-175? or a

find a better platform, IMO. what youre doing now is like installing granite countertops in a mobile home. This is a project gun. Something to dump time and money into for fun.
thats going to be increasingly difficult in the coming years.lesson learned, for me ,no more chinese guns of any kind.
thats what the EE is for. just check the shotgun/parts forum when you wake up, some great deals come up there from time to time.

the 780s are notorious POSs, but what do people expect from something that sells for ~$100 new?
there is nothing wrong with the Grizzlies, and they are to 870 spec and overbuilt, if anything.
I believe I'll stick to doing up mods to 870's and 590 A-1's.
Can't take the risk of gun failure in a critical situation.

Off the christmas card list!Dontcha think?
Still looking. I actually want a 870 express magnum receiver to put all my "regular" hunting gun parts on to. My 870 started life as a regular express mag. and I added all the goodies to it.thats what the EE is for. just check the shotgun/parts forum when you wake up, some great deals come up there from time to time.
Classic!so when are you going to polish said turd?
how did the bolt carrier fail? its a 1/4" thick piece of solid metal.
pics or it didnt happen![]()
I know what your saying but first , they were originally around $300. so we all thought great clearout price and second we were told some had come back and MAY need a little tweaking. Noone said they would blow apart!
Howerver , like I said lesson learned!
the dealbreaker with me for the 780s was the lack of 870 parts interchangeability. the main advantage of the 870 platform is the massive range of aftermarket/take-off parts you can get - retail or the EE. if its not going to be compatible, then whats the point? ill just buy a Mossberg/Maverick.
Hey shucker nice one, is that the 590? I am considering a blackhawk knoxx recoil reducing for one of the 590's I have coming, it will be for my wife so I would like to cut down on felt recoil a bit so as not to scare her off! The more she enjoys shooting, the more I get to shoot!!
