You choose the next caliber barrel from Maple Ridge Armoury

for .308 based AR type barrels, of course I voted for .338 federal (19" , 1/10, rifle length .750 gas), couple that with an in house adjustable gas block.

OK so it looks like we will be running 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 7.62x39 next month.

We will run 20" Creedmoor and 18.6" 7.62x39 but what does everyone want in their 6.5 Grendel? 18.6" or 20"? We are only running one length.

18.6" 6.5 Grendel. There is no need for the extra 1.4" on a hunting barrel. The extra weight and length offer no real world advantages in the usual hunting situation.

There are plenty of other heavy 20" options already available. Why not make something that isn't yet?

Yes the SPR is essenaitally a medium profile. .840" from chamber to gas journal, 0.750 gas journal, and 0.740 to muzzle.
