I was thinking of getting the following handguns as part of my "piss off the Libs" summer plan, and I would like to let you guys vote on the order in which I will purchase them!

Let's get to it, then!

Sig P226 or P229
Glock 19
Walther P99
USP Compact

If you want to add or remove to the list, please do so! :D

I would not get a Walther unless you plan to only shoot it once in a while. I have heard they are not reliable with high round counts.
The Glock is ok, reliable.
HK Compact,...well, I like HK's, but if you want a compact (I assume you mean one with a longer barrel), I would get an HK P2000, which can be had with longer (re: restricted) barrel.

OR!!!, if you are willing to spend the money on a Sig, or HK, how about the Tanfoglio line. The Stock, Stock2 and Limited pro look wicked cool, and appear to shoot well, and reliable.

If you were intent on making a political impact with a gun I dont really think it matters much which one you use. Err, buy I mean.

I don't know if your saavy about handguns but I will assume limited knowledge about tinkering so avoid norinco other that the 1911 copy ( keep in mind that it will be the least expensive simply to annoy the fearful ones that would keep us in fear to make us ax-weilding zombies:eek:  . If you want quality go german ( doesn't really matter which one) Hk, or Walther...even an Austrian if your right handed:rockOn:

First, I'd get the Sig... then save up for a nice 1911 in .45ACP... then when the next slow boat from China gets here order a spankin' new Norinco NP-29 in 9mm... ;)

Haha, I was kidding about the Norinco option: it was more of a "joke" choice. :D

So far, the SIG is winning! Would anyone like to comment on which one (226 or 229 with extended barrel) I should get?

I like the look of the 229, but honestly, I'm fine with either one. Are there any known performance issues I should know about?
