Sh!t guys, in the time it took me to drive home from work and eat dinner I'm 3 pages behind.
It sucks, no it rules, no you suck, no you do, my rifle is the best, no mine is. Lol, as long as you're shooting and have a smile on your face who cares.
The T-81 is probably my cheapest and crappiest rifle other than my SKS but I still like it and it's fun to shoot, I like having a rifle I don't care about. My T-81 has been drug all around my acreage and has been banged off the fence posts of the dog run, drug across the shingled roof of the dog house (not on purpose but I didn't care), dropped in the snow (on purpose), inside, outside, inside, outside covered in condensation from coming in then back outside into -20C and it's holding up great. I love having a gun that just works and I don't care about. It's done everything I bought it to do except shoot a coyote.
Who cares if there's a better x39 bullet hose? Don't like it? don't buy one. We're arguing over some of the cheapest and most obsolete x39 rifles on the market.
Best battle rifle? It's all just a matter of opinion. If my life was on the line I'd probably grab one of my AR's (maybe my ACR) but that isn't really a worry for me living in Canada so I choose to own numerous rifles that all have their strengths and weaknesses. Isn't that one of the best things about living here? We can own them all if we want and I choose to own close to 30 rifles and six or seven of them are non restricted semi auto rifles. They all get used, some more than others but if I didn't find something about each of them I liked I would sell them, I've been through most of the NR semi's we can have and every one of them has good and bad.
WHAT!!! How dare you! Lol.
Me likes me my M14's

How can you say no to this?
Can you tell me how you modify the AK pmags?? Post some pics??
Lower the front lip, narrow the sides where you can see my grind marks and lower the notch in the back to clear the bolt. Easy peasy.
For the front lip I just put it beside a T-81 mag and made it look the same. Trim the sides till it will clear the receiver and insert cleanly. The rear notch just has to clear the bolt. I did have to remove the bottom cover and spring so I could trim the follower where it hits the rivet until it would insert on a closed bolt with 5 rounds in it, just go a little at a time, it doesn't take much.

I've used this one for around 50 rounds with zero malfunctions. Unfortunately no more bolt hold open though.
