You folks have been hosed again!

Hey Dicklips, whats your problem? Your posting stuff on guns most here cant buy. You wont even take any criticism on what is widely regarded as a substandard product that is overpriced. And lastly.... you post a pic of a target that you shot to show accuracy..yet you are almost touching it?

You having a sensitive day? Or just forget to change your depends?

oh and for your little peanut gallery...Hey Deckard... you really that bored tonight?

USP:

"Dicklips"?

You are a hoot.. Where do you get this stuff? Please allow me to answer your last post, then I will fade away and let you amuse others who might have a greater appreciation than I for your "unusual wit"..

1. This is a gun site, and posting pictures of guns you CAN have, or perhaps CANNOT have in Canada is common... My initial post was intended as humor but I'm afraid it was above the altitude of your capacity to appreciate. My bad..

2. Your opinion that the Walther P99 series of firearms are widely regardly as "substandard and overpriced" is just that, an opinion.. As I'm sure you know opinions are like (in your vernacular) a**holes.. We all have one.

Anyone remotely interested in the reputation for quality and excellence of the Walther line of firearms in general, and the P99 pistol in particular has only to go online and discern the truth for themselves.

3. I posted a picture of a target shot by myself, at the distance I usually shoot. I didn't give the distance a thought as I was shooting a compact, short barrelled pistol at self defense range.

I could just as easily have said the distance was 7 yards, 10 yards, 15 yards, or any distance I chose, you wouldn't know the difference.. If you can touch a target 7 yards away I might respectfully suggest your heritage has more simian genes in in that the average person..

4. I was actually having a very nice day before the short bus arrived and you stepped off..

5 I checked my "depends", and nope, all's good there. :dancingbanana:

Finally I have posted on this site for some time. I have always been accepted and treated graciously.. I never post here to cause problems, but only to talk about and read about firearms.. In fact your arrival and interest in showing your ignorance has been a great surprise to me. It's simply conduct that I'd never seen here before, and for no reason that I can understand other than possibly you just don't know any better.

If you are out of medication and that is the cause of your crappy attitude then I certainly hope your Mom gets a refill for you quickly..

You just aren't a jolly fellow when the meds haven't kicked in, are you?

Now, this is gonna hurt..

I'm "leaving the building" so to speak. Please follow up this post with whatever bs you feel the need to spew, but I won't respond to it, nor will I acknowledge you in the future should I visit the nice folks at Canadiangunnutz again.

You are a sad puppy..

Best Wishes for improved mental health and a positive attitude...

lol..

I bet you will read this post all the same. You should consider the fact that if you choose to buy a gun and like it, its better not to be so insecure about your purchase that you take offence to solid criticism based on fact about it. I suppose you cant tell the difference. Im glad you like what you bought, its your money enjoy your purchase. But maybe get a thicker skin, cause when you basically call people #######s and insinuate that they are stupid what do you expect in reply? 4 letter vernacular? Mr personality?

I bet your problem is that your still sour from yesterdays election results, realising the sad truth that Canada is probably more stable for gun owners right now then the US is shaping up to be...

I would wish you a nice day... but your not really reading this are you?

;)

Anywayz... I love gun #### and that's a pretty cool looking piece. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd love to shoot it. Thanks for posting!!

:D

keerist, it's just a pistol.

You'd think you were defending your wife's honor, your father's good name and your firstborn's life all in one go

I believe that's correct. I think the stats come from the FBI studies from the late 80's or early 90's. They came up with the 7 foot or less range as the range for most "gunfights". I believe at the same time their studies initiated some debate over the .357 magnum as the best "one shot stopper" round.

I hope you enjoy the gun. It really is quite a nice looking piece.

There's a reason why snubbies are called "belly guns". My .40 P99 works just great. No problems with it whatsoever. In a shtf scenario, its my goto gun, no question, and it ccw's just great, too. (what? who said that... )

Laserlips, feel free to post all the gun #### you want here....
USP just has sand in his ######.
Every new pistol design from the beginning of time has had some bugs to work out. I'm sure Walther has worked them out of the 99 by now. Lots of people happy with them all over the place.

Ask Hillary for one of these Laserlips!

Don't worry if you can't see it, Hillary wont let you have it anyway!

The target was shot from a distance of 5' (five yards), standing, two handed.

Five yards? Good gawd man, you've got one off the "X".... personally I'd send that puppy back and get an accurate pistol... :p

The P99 does have some very good points about it.

Handfit is quite nice, doesn't shift.
A/S trigger allows it to be used either long SA or short SA. Forget Decocking it, if you're worried about safety just use it on Long SA first shot. The trigger reset is shorter than some 1911 triggers.
Mag release is a little funny, works best if you use your trigger finger. The new P99 with huge mag release levers are really ergonomic.

They're accurate little guns. A very tactically minded guy who hangs out around P&D was able to get one hole groups with one. When I used to own a custom BHP, this same guy used it to put 5 rounds into one hole at 15 yards right in front of me. Now I got rid of that custom gun as I shot a stock P99 more accurately.

The parts breakage issue is worrisome. Many ranges report parts breakages. Guys in the states report small spring breakages but nothing like what the ranges in Canada are reporting. This is the one point that made me lose absolute faith in the gun. I like a tough durable gun. I've chatted with others, perhaps the breakages are due to poor maintenance at the range...who knows.

I still have a P99, mainly as its is a 007 gun and I missed out on PPK. My new passion are single stack 9mm guns however. If you like the gun, by all means buy it, clean it well and stock up on recoil springs and assorted spare parts. That's what I'm doing with my favorite single stack guns now anyway.

To USP: while you make some good points about Walthers and you certainly are entitled to your opinions, I think that alluding to Laserlips' new gun as a POS is a little crude/rude. Why piss on his parade? He just wanted to share a positive experience with us.

To Laserlips: I hope USP's comments didn't give you the impression that CDN Gunnutz are boorish and rude. I certainly hope you continue to frequent CGN and feel free to contribute whatever you wish.

I probably post pictures of more handguns that Canadians can't own than anyone else. I am not attacked like Laserlips and I do not know why; my only guess is I am old and my mother was Canadian:D In regard to repeal of CCW laws and high capacity laws I am sure GWB would veto any such measure. What the future holds for US gun owners after Bush I have no idea. Regards, Richard :D

5 yds standing with 2 hands, there should be 1 hole through that piece of paper.

logik1:

You are indeed correct, in a perfect world there should be only one hole in the target at 5 yards...

I believe that in decades past, say my 20's, 30's, 40's,maybe even my 50's I could have provided that for you..

But now that I'm in my mid 60's I find that as accurate a shooter as I WAS, I'm NOT.

Keeping a correct sight picture in years past seemed a simple thing. Keeping the rear sight, front sight, and target all aligned properly isn't simple any longer.

I try and not complain because my vision sucks, my hand shakes, and many things that I took for granted when I was younger are no longer available to me. My best friend of over 50 years is blind (Retinitious Pigmentosa) and my just being able to SEE a target at 5' is a good deal in comparison to my friends dark world..

I practice at short distance because that's what I can see, and that's probably the distance I would have to shoot in a confrontation. I cannot put all rounds in one hole, at ANY distance, but I do think 10+1 Cor-Bons "scattered" about such as my target represents could be sufficient.

I think the average person confronted by a life threatening confrontation would have condiserable difficulty in putting all 11 rds. in one neat little hole when you factor in such variables as "adrenlin rush/rapid heartbeat/fight or flight instinct/etc. Or, a scared person doesn't generally have the same ability at accuracy under lethal threat as he/she might have at the practice range.

I don't mind the criticism, I just do the best I can. I wasn't "showing off" MY accuracy, I was trying to impart an idea of the potential accuracy of the pistol itself.

Or, the P99c/AC shot relatively poa right out of the box. No malfunctions, no problems, just a pleasure to shoot. I understand that you Canadian folks cannot have "compacts/snubby's" and such, but in any community of firearm enthusiasts most folks enjoy seeing different firearms, even tho they might be restricted to you.

In fact the very reason that they might be restricted to you is often reason enough for some folks to enjoy seeing or hearing about different firearms. You can have no personal experience with the firearm, so you gain knowledge about it from someone who has.

Not trying to be confrontational, just trying to explain I fully understand why a person SHOULD be able to put all rounds in one hole at 5' but I can't.

Best Wishes,

J. Pomeroy

I have been posting on this website for some time. I have always been well treated and have found the members on Canadiangunnutz to be, as a whole, fine folks.

I appreciate being allowed to visit and post on Canadiangunnutz. If I offended anyone last night in my "*** for tat" dialogue I sincerely apologize.

Best Wishes,
