I've been hunting since the beginning of sept. First with the bow and now with my BP rifle. I've spent a lot of hours on my stand but it seemed that I was always messed up by something. Constant shifting of winds, ATV's, other people cutting trails into the area. Sunday I went hard and checked every area I knew for some sign to move my stand to another location and found foot prints going in to my stand from someone in the morning. On top of that there wasn't a fresh deer track anywhere. Needless to say I was getting a bit frustrated:mad:

After work today I decided to go fetch my stand out of my former secret location and there was hunter tracks going in from the morning yet again. Walking in to get my stand the wind was finally perfect for the location and there were fresh tracks everywhere:) So i decide to sit on the stand till dark.
Nothing!

I always still hunt in and out of my stand and I left with about 20 min of legal time left and still hunted my way out. I'm 200 yrds from my truck and I spot a nice big doe 30 yards off the trail. This has happened before but its usually a white flag running because of the bloody wind shifting. Not tonight though:D I'll be cutting her up tomorrow and tonight she's hanging in the garage.

Like I said. You just never know. Cheers and good luck during deer season.

I'm just wondering if your kid's future shrink will be able to order the Italian marble when she gets to the part where you gutted Bambi's mom on their play structure, bwahaha! rotflmao

No worries my boy is very used to seeing this. I actually designed and built his tree fort with a firemans pole that removes easily and provides me with a place to winch up a deer.
The wife on the other hand always has abit of a sour look on her face when I do this. I just tell her that I could do this in the kitchen if she likes:D

I also built the thing to be easily moved. Its going to be a permanent stand once he doesn't want his tree fort any more.
