Well guys I have been on the hunt now for a very quiet .22 for plinking. I have tried cci cb longs and cb shorts yes they are very quiet. Also tried cci quiet about. The same as there cb loads. Next remingtion cbee,s a little louder than cci stuff but still good. But tonight at canadian tire I bought some winchester 22 long cb match 29 grain solid in the silver box. theese things are even quiter than anything elese it was a noticeable diffrence. The price was $3.99 for 50 on par with the rest. And the best thing is being at canadian tire I. Can pick them up at anytime. They are too low powered for semi autos but they are a full length .22

I think CCI makes a few different 22 longs still. If you want really quiet, try the CBs in a 27 or 28" barrel.

I couldn't believe how quiet the long cooey was! I put a 28" barrel on a 1022 for noise reduction also.

Exactly! I ran some CB longs through my Cooey 75 and after the first shot, I thought I had a FTF! That long barrel was good for something!

CB Longs are all I use anymore for quiet plinking from a long barrelled bolt action. Way quieter than my air rifles, and much more accurate. Best anti-squirrel device ever!

Picked up some cb longs (cci) this am.... DANG quiet!
But $12.00 for a hundred.... is that normal?

They dont cycle worth a crap in my mark II tho

Get a DA or SA revolver.....

I have a Winchester M68. It has a 27" barrel.
Those CB's are barely audible in it
Considerably quieter than my Diana 34 pellet rifle.

I guess closest i can get for good cycling in a NR is a henry. Kinda like em.

A Henry's a good choice. I just picked up a Browing BL-22 lever action and understand it will shoot any 22lr ammo. Looking forward to testing it out.
You should get an RPAL. You're missing out on a lot of nice "toys". The only thing a RPAL will hurt is your bank account.....
