You wonder why farmers post their land???

This need to point blame at folks out of the area is pure BS, there is just many local fellas that don't seem to give a chit about land owner rights. FS

I didn't feel the need to state that there was a truck with AB plates in a relative close area with a "very" similar tread pattern. Fresh skiff of snow from night before kind of makes tire tracks stand out. Seeing that I didn't actually see them out in the field, I would still say there was a high chance of probability. I wouldn't have cared what province they were from if they had been caught in the field !!!

You get to recognize the vehicles that are around locally.

Ah yes the cityiots again cause the local country boys are angels.

Coming from folks who don't want to be stereo-typed I doubt this is the proper attitude to have.I know many rural people who have a genuine hate and I mean hate for city dwelling people, hunters or not.

Also to be quite honest , I know more "country" people that are responsible for actions like these than city living people.

Let's not point fingers , there are fools in every group.

Its purebred Saskatchewan citiots that are the biggest problem in this area. And a few local kids from surrounding towns. A lot of kids nowdays have the attitude that they can do what they want.

Im saying it how it is around here. Im not telling you how it is around your area, am I ? I have booted many people and I always ask where they are from. We have two lakeside resorts nearby that are mainly city people and thats a majority of our problem. So you dont tell me what happens in my neck of the woods and I wont tell you what happens in yours. :)

When I lived up in the NE part of Sask, I found out that a number of local folks did this kind of stuff, but the local farmers would find out who it was and they dealt with it amongst themselves. There was also a very strong element from out of province that has acquired a reputation in that neck of the woods for doing this kind of thing and for many other crimes against wildlife.

This one was a gong show and very close to home. Lots of land was posted as a result of these clowns. It didn't really matter as they didn't care where they went anyway or what they drove through. The hunters were using other outfitters tree stands as well. I found six bucks that had been shot and left that one year. Glad they got shut down finally.

Yes, we have our share of local losers that give hunters a bad name but at least they become known pretty quick in the area. They are run off whenever they are seen in the area.

News Release - November 27, 2008
QUEBEC RESIDENT FINED FOR ILLEGAL OUTFITTING

A Quebec resident pleaded guilty to one count under Saskatchewan's Outfitter and Guide Regulations and one count under the Saskatchewan Wildlife Act and was fined $30,800 in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

Eric Nadeau from Saint-Robert-Bellermin, Quebec was convicted of unlawfully acting as an outfitter without an outfitter's licence and unlawfully aiding and abetting in contraventions of the Wildlife Act or Regulations. In addition to the fines, Mr. Nadeau was ordered to pay $2,200 to the SaskTip reward program and barred from hunting for five years.

The charges were laid as the result of a two-year investigation by the Ministry of Environment into public complaints of illegal outfitting. The investigation confirmed that different groups of hunters were arriving weekly and staying at a residence in Zenon Park owned by Nadeau. The hunters were provided with services by Nadeau that were consistent with those normally offered by licenced outfitters including guiding, transportation and accommodations.

"Illegal outfitting affects the businesses of licenced outfitters, as well as the overall management of our wildlife," Ministry of Environment Compliance and Field Services executive director Kevin Callele said. "We hope that the significant penalty imposed by the courts in this case will serve as a deterrent to those who try to profit from illegal outfitting."

Anyone who is aware of or suspects wildlife, fisheries or environmental violations is encouraged to report them to the nearest Ministry of Environment office or to call the province's toll-free Turn In Poachers (TIP) line at 1-800-667-7561 or #5555 for SaskTel cell phone subscribers. Callers may be eligible for cash rewards through the SaskTip program.

I'm not afraid to point fingers. This past week has been a gong show with tresspassers and poachers in the Val Marie, Climax and Frontier areas, and they all have one thing in common, Quebec and Alberta licence plates. The problem is with the the landowners, when they catch these guys on their land they tell them to get lost but never report them or take down plate numbers. The opening week of whitetail season I saw a lot of local hunters out in the areas I hunt, all being respectful and ethical. This past week (non residents week to hunt in Sask) I didn't see any local guys out, just non-residents, and as the week wore on I found more and more left behind carcasses, including 3 mule deer bucks.

I don't want to chase away other Canadian resident hunters, but I think maybe they should be required to accompany a Sask resident while hunting here, just like in Alberta.

One thing I know for sure from talking to neighbors and friends in the area, there is going to be a lot of No Hunting signs going up in S.W. Sask next year.

Not sure if you heard about the fight on the Frontier golf course between the non english speaking Quebecers vs the BC hunters over a dinky WT buck yet, or of the deer shot on the elevator driveway there by yet another idiot from Que.

Kind of makes me wonder about the mental state of someone who will spend 8 days driving to and from Sask just to shoot a bambi buck inside of the town limits.

Yeah, I heard about it. All the money they spent on gas and hotels to shoot these little bambis could buy them a whole beef and a few dozen lobsters.

I love to have out of province freinds come hunt with me on my home turf, it's too bad these a-holes give everyone a bad name.

The sad reality is that no matter what laws are passed, there will always be the idiots who dont care about anything but themselves.

There is nothing we can do to stop these morons! they will show up every now and then wether we bann hunting all together or not!

With that said, PLEASE dont make all the hunters who DO ASK permission pay the price for this disrespect that others show!
