Looking for suggestions on 7.62x54R loads for my M-44. So far the best I could come up with has been 41.5gr of imr-3031 behind a 174gr .311 Sierra Matchking in Igman/Norma brass. Grouping is impressive (.7moa @100yards for a 3 shot group), but point of aim is way off. Not much room for adjustment with military open sights, so I'm hoping to find a bit of a flatter shooting combination. Tempted to go to a slower powder, either imr4320 or imr4350 to get velocities up, as I'm not seeing much of a difference in trajectory heavy loading with 3031 (~43gr). Any thoughts are appreciated.
