Your best deer hunting tip!!

How about the 2 Blacktails?

That is a tough one but if I were to guess.....1/3 down and to the right of centre, just behind the stump and to the right of that small diameter tree.....the one deer is looking slightly back, maybe toward the other?

Ya move slow and look for movement.....

Yup, I almost missed him through the binos (10x), the other one is up beside the stump at the top of the picture.

As it was mentioned, play the wind and walk slowly....don't take more than 3 steps at one time.........with every step (in the bush) your view changes.....you want to spot them before they spot you and the only way to do that, is to move slow and quietly....

Look for the parts of the animal, movement from the tail, ear, legs, white patch, backbone something because most times.....if they are not moving, they are hard to spot.....Can you find the nice 8 pointer?

Thats a nice headshot :)

All you guy's mist the most important thing.

In all the excitement DON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE HUNT!

The worst part of the hunt is being hung over the next day. with no greasy Mcdonald's breakfast within a 100 mile radius...lol

the 2nd best part is Hearing bears mating calls all night... LoL

Bring about twice the water you think you need. If yo are planning on sitting for any ammount of time get one of those cushions that warm up when you sit on them. A good set of boots is probably the most important investment if you are walking allot.

Take your keys and change out of your pocket. Keep spare rounds from banging on each other if loose. ANY metallic noise is a bust on a big deer.

Cover ground, and pay attention to the deer you bust or that bust you.

I learned a whole lot more from the deer, than I ever did from books or other hunters. You will learn a lot about where the deer do, and do not hang out, and you will learn not to waste a bunch of time in places that there are no deer in. Once you know more or less that you are in an area the deer actually hang about in, then go through that area slow and quiet like, though it seldom works if you try that just after you went through the place like a bull in a china shop!:)

More time in the bush ( not on your ass in the truck with the heater and radio on) equals more opportunities to eat venison.

Deer are funny critters. Some of them will get up and slink away, while others will come over to see what the noise is about.

Breathe. Don't panic. Pick a spot, aim at the spot, shoot the spot!

Have a plan for what you will do with it if you get one, and the weather is not cool. Going to all that trouble, so you can chuck the whole lot in the bin, is a waste.

Remember, if you want a guarantee that you will bring meat home, go to the store.

Keep yer eyes and ears open, pay attention, keep a camera handy, and learn from every non productive hunt.

There are no failures as a result of coming in empty handed. Every day in the bush is a great day to enjoy!

Cheers

If you are in a good spot, then the very best advice is be absolutely quiet, and absolutely still.

Being motionless and quiet means becoming a statue for the best results. Leave your distractions either in the camp, or in your pack, and move only your head and eyes slowly.

Yes, you can see deer while jogging etc, but motionless will let you see more.

Before the hunt ever starts become proficient with your harvest tool weather it's a rifle, shotgun, bow or crossbow! Nothing is worse than blowing the shot if you only get one chance due to lack of practice. Practice how you hunt!

Keep the wind in your face walk slow stop look and listen. Listen for other animals and birds yo give away the deer. Squirrels will bark if thy see something moving crows will also give away hidden animals.
