Your best ever rifle for trigger/action combination ?

Factory sporter- Tikka 595
Factory rimfire - Any Anshutz
Custom centerfire- RPA action and trigger I've had 3 -the perfect centerfire trigger
Custom centerfire cast bullet - Allan Hall action and trigger
Factory centerfire pistol - Wilson combat
Factory rimfire pistol - Pardini SP

At least i dont loose everything, my Nemesis, maybe not recognized but my Wilson is, one out of 2 is not so bad... JP.

I was wondering when someone would say the Winchester M70. The new ones are very nice. The trigger could be better though.

I fired a friends Kimber it was very nice. 308 synthetic stock. Very nice trigger.

For an out-of-the-box gun, the Blaser R93 is it for me, no question.

I'm continually surprised by the hate that many show for the Accutrigger. Is it a great trigger? Not really, but considering that it's standard equipment on a rifle that you can buy for $400 or $500 it's amazingly good.

Not to many of them around Colt sauer is one of the smoothest action you will ever feel and a great Tigger. My custom built tikka T3 with a spirl fluted bolt is a close second.

My Pre-64 M70 in 300 H&H has a very good trigger but where it really shines is the action. I've never had another rifle do this, but the rifle actually cycles smoother when feeding rounds from the mag than on an empty chamber. I can't explain it and it makes no sense but there's no getting around it. I guess that's what you get with high cost hand work.

Your new #1 has the worst trigger ever? Really? Crisp, 3.5 lbs but a slow lock time is the worst trigger ever?
Lock time is very slow, some creep, some after travel and heavy. It is still standard where I have not had it professionally adjusted. The only gunsmith I know who will do it is from B.C. I really don't know if I want to touch it anyway, that gun shoots 1/2 inch and less, plus I just purchased another single shot, not a Ruger, and it has a wonderful trigger.

Mine is 3 lbs 4 oz average according to the Lyman gauge, creep and over travel pretty well controlled for a factory rifle. Lock time slow. Not amazing, it's no professional trigger. Definitely not the worst trigger ever though.

For a rimfire, there is nothing even close to my Suhl 150
An older Winchester M70 had about the smoothest action I ever used, so my vote goes there.
I have several 700s that are very smooth as well, but not quite as nice.
If I am having issues with a trigger....I will buy a Jewell if it available for that action.
I also HATE the accutrigger.
Regards, Dave.

My best trigger is the Jewel on my M-700 target rifle, but as set its not appropriate for a hunting rifle. My best hunting rifle trigger is probably the one on my M-70. My best gas gun trigger is the stock trigger on my LMT AR-15 vs a couple of FN-49s and a Chinese M-14.

The rifle with the slickest action is by far my M-54 Winchester, its better than either my 1900 Krag, or my L461 SAKO.

I have a pre 64 Model 70 that's had quite a bit of work done on it but it's smooth as silk and after a little grinding on the original factory trigger, I'd put it up against any of the custom triggers I have. When I had the rifle built I was all for a new trigger but the gunsmith told me he'd work some magic on the old one.....man did he ever. Another vote for the Accutrigger being the worst ever.
