Used to love a Remington 700 SPS Varmint. Then I tried out a T3 for big game, liked it so much I traded the SPS on a T3 Lite SS. I've always used .22-250 on varmints.

I'm the opposite. My Remmy in 223 has a 1:12 twist. My son's T3 is a 1:8. Mine groups inside of 1/4" on that suburb day I referred to earlier. Same day, with Tikka...just a hair over a 1" group, which was still respectable. His liked the 55 grain Noslers more. They were just over 3/4"

I wish I had my camera that day. There will be other days.

Sobo thats impossible, Tikka owners say every T3 shoots 1/2 MOA out of the box regardless of ammo.

Surely your son has a Model 70 or something.

my choice - browning x-bolt 22-250 stainless stalker c/w swarovski Z6 2.5x15x44 ... and very happy with it. Like to shoot 36 gr Barnes Varmit Grenades for the little guys and 50 gr V-max for the yotes.

Blr

Used to have a Winchester mod 70 in .243, shot like crap, couldn't put 2 rounds within 3" of each other, even after bedding, custom loads etc. Got rid of it for a BLR in 22-250, best move made yet!

I bought a BLR in 22-250 the pistol grip model.Thought I should not post that, as not to attract the comments about the first two shots being good, but the third being a flyer.Wait the #### pigeons will swoop in quickly Iam sure.

I too have an Axis in .223 but all things considered I think if a Blr in 22-250 shows up on the EE I'll make a switch (won't be hard to move the Axis!). I really liking those Brownings lately for some reason. How are you Blr guys finding the 22-250 and 223 lever guns for accuracy as opposed to the bolt action.

I have (2) 223 savage axis & winchester model 70 pre 64 long action 22-250 with a shilen bull barrel full floating( ya it's custom). guess what one i use the most now LOL.

They are good. You have to remember they are a Browning. They still use the rotary bolt, and as stated before, are a lever driven bolt action.
