Thought a coyote rifle thread might be interesting.

Here is mine:

LH CDL chambered for the 243, Riflebasix trigger, Callahan shroud/pin assembly, VX III 3.5-10X40 with elevation turret in Talley LW's

I have a McMillan classic on order inletted ADL, and will add a Williams ADL trigger bow to the mix when that arrives. Was also going to swap out the barrel, but this one shot so well that it will stay aboard until it goes south, but will probably get bobbed to 22" when the stock arrives.

Mine's a Cheapie SPS 700 in 223 Remington.
Just added a Laminate Varmint 700 Stock, and a VXII in some Talleys.
Seems to do the trick ;)

Coyote Rigs

I bought Stonechaser's .22-250AI,and I'm waiting for loading dies so I can put it to work!It's a 700SA,SS,with a 24" fluted King barrel,and a 3x9 MkIVPR on top.Look out Wiley!:D Mur

This is my 6br that started as a .308 Remington VSF. Had the action trued, 26" Maclennan barrel 1-12 twist, jewell trigger, greTan bolt assembly and a VXIII 8.5-25x50 sits on the top. The magazine was re done to feed the 6br cartridge. I punch paper with this gun more than I hunt with it. This gun has a twin in 6mm Remington with a 6.5-20x50 VXIII. The 6br makes the coyotes DRT without blowing a huge hole in them. the 6br pushes the 75 Vmax @3350fps. Optimum for coyotes. I shoot the 87 Vmax out of the 6mm Rem. @3450 fps. Works just as good, just a waaay bigger hole!

Sorry, bit of a threadjack, just curious what you guys do with the coyotes? I'm looking for a wolf pelt to make a headdress, but those shots of the coyotes look like they might work too...

Your rifle is so beautiful I have tears in my eyes. If I decide not to be such a cheapskate, I would like something similar, but in .250-3000 or .257 Bob. Is that a Rem or aftermarket stock?

Remington Model 700 LSS in 243 Winchester
Talley lightweight rings
Leupold VXII 3-9x40mm w/ LR duplex

this time next year it will most likely be rebarreled to 243 Ackley (25" stainless fluted), in a snow camo B&C medalist stock, and a 30mm tubed Leupold VXIII 4.5-14x40 Booner reticle :) ...maybe ;) :p

Here's mine. Winchester Model 70 push Feed in 30-06 bedded with Devcon Titanium in an electric blue laminate stock. Sports a Leupold VX-1 3x9-40mm in Weaver Rings. Simple and it works!

Gorgeous gun LongDraw!

For me, depends how much I feel like carrying, and how far I'm shooting. Have used an M77 ultra light .243 (good), Marlin .357 Mag 1894 (good for brush), and now my 7mm AIM is going to be used for long shots and my .260 Titanium for walking, both below. Also just bought a Ruger No.1 .218 Bee, will be used when I feel like going classic. As well, will be rebarreling the CZ527 Carbine at the bottom to 6PPC soon, it will no doubt see service.

And I bet it shoots better than bartells purty remington. Just a suggestion, throw a different color of stain on that 788 and you would be amazed at the difference! My dad has one in .22-250 and it looks much better after staining it.

No pics right now, but I have a Tang Safety Ruger 77V in 220 Swift with a 6.5-20 Leupold with a CPC reticule, a Custom 600 Remington with a 25" heavy barrel in 22-250 Remington. It sports a 12X Leupold with a CPC reticule. My third rifle is a Ted Gaillard barrelled 6mm Remington with a 6.5-20 Leupold and a CPC reticule. Any of these will put 5 into ½ moa right out there. Long shot so far last fall was 456 yards with the Swift. One unlucky Coyote. Regards, Eagleye.
