Your coyote rigs

Well I've shot 2.......this one I call my 1st.....as it was the 1st one that actually came to my pathetic calls after two winters of trying:redface:
But now I'm an expert ! :onCrack:

BCWILL - sell the remmy and replace it with a Stevens, the coyotes will come to you just for the honor of being shot by it. :D

Or is it that they think there is no way they could be hit with something in such a fugly 710 looking stock?

While on the topic, what bullet do you guys use to save the hides? I have a ruger M77 target in 220 swift, and it does more damage than the guys who I give them to like. So far the best is sierra 52g HPBT match, but I am going to try barnes XLC 53g next.

The best rifle load combo for fur I've seen is a 204 ruger shooting 35 grain bergers. Tiny hole in and no exit.

With my .223 50 - 55 grain soft points seem to do fairly well, leaving a nice round exit that would easily be covered by a nickle. I'll be trying nosler bt's next season.

If the coyote will co-operate the best shot for saving fur is with him facing you straight on, even a mild 270 load doesn't exit.
