Your daily Bubba eye-bleed.

Maybe I'm a weirdo but I actually like this setup. Perfect for coyotes in March and at $200 it's a steal!

Pretty stupid coyotes if you can hit them with an SKS. The ones around here don't offer too many chances at less the 150m; 200m is more common.

Terrible painting skills but a buttplate and wood handguard could be easily sourced. Some paint stripper and whatever nice finish you like would fix it up. So long as your refinishing skills go beyond slogging unthinned exterior paint on stuff with a coarse brush, that is.

My CTC has originals refurb for $169. Why would anyone pay $200 so you can spend 4+ hours trying to bring it back,, $100 maybe!

your CT does not have Chinese non issued ones.

The Chinese SKS used to go for 200 last year in Canada, now they are up to 300+ retail because we can't seem to get them anymore

Kudos to the OP for trying, but why don't we help him with his next selection, by sharing the attributes of a Bubba'd abomination that would be scored as a "10"? I'll start and please join in:

1. You need to start with a rare, valuable and collectible firearm. In effect you take a $1000 firearm spend $300 on it and create a $200 gun;
2. The resulting gun needs to be terribly disfunctional and comical and/or garish in appearance; and
3. Its creator must be proud of it.

Ive bubba'd worse. I have one that came with a right f###ed up stock so I did lots of irreversible things to it. It is a non collectible $125 (at the time) gun.

I think there is a SKS D sitting in dads safe with a Crosman 1377 pistol grip attached to the stock and then a integrated cheek piece, you see on trap guns, but def not as nice.

Actually most places had the Chinese for around $150. Or marstars deal where you buy a crate of ammo and get the Chinese SKS for $75. Price only went up because they stopped shipping them,, maybe now that the Chinese economy is slowing a bit you may see shipments again!
Based on some of the prices I see on the EE, this may just be a steal! GoferIt!
