Don't matter which way 'cause it's all the same rifle ,
Once you shoot an Enfield , the rest are just guns...

my Ti 260 is scopeless now, but I'm still shooting a 260, now my custom Gaillard 700. 125 grain Nosler Partitions @ 2900 fps

I have a Marlin 1894 in .44 Rem Mag that I have been dying to try on a white tail. I just put a Bushnell Trophy Red dot scope on it, and it shoots into about 2" at 100 yards. This is really the max range for this gun/load as it gets to be kind of like a rainbow after that...
Load is a 240 gr. XTP loaded at close to max...
This looks like the year to finally try it out...

I will be baptising my Savage Model 111, topped with a Bushnell 3x9, in .270 Win. and using Hornady SST Interlocks in 130 gr.

My Browning 7mm rem mag. I have a favorite load of 175 gr. Hornady Interlocks that I really like. Not super fast, so as not too damage alot of meat, but it really knocks them down. Gonna shoot my moose with my Marlin 45-70 just to say I killed something with my heavy reloads. Should put it down quickly....

This Year 2007 Deer Hunting Guns

I am going to hunt with my Remington 700 BDL in 7mm08.
My backup guns are a Ruger No1 7 X 57, Sako IV 270 Mannlicher.

Leave for the camp today and by the time I get there I will be too wiped out to hunt the first day. Only go for the food and the fun, a great bunch of guys. Three generations hunt from that camp and the 19 year old Ryan is a crack shot with whatever gun you hand him.

Whatever is at hand at the time.
Going South on Monday morning to still hunt some whiteltails and maybe surprise an elk in a bow zone with a buddy, I'll be using my flat bow there.
I really want to put a muley down with my 9.3X74R, but we'll see.

Deer rifle, hmm
IMO should be light and got some type of optics if we hunt over 100yr.
I think my Rem 700 BDL DM in .30-06 with B&L 4000 1.5-6x32 qualify for this.

I'll be taking my good ole 1894 marlin in .44 mag, this year I'll be shooting
250 gr Whinchester platnium tips, they should do the trick....:)

375 Winchester, in a Model 94 Big Bore loaded with 220 grain Hornady bullets (handloads) for the bush, 270 Winchester, factory 140 grain in a Savage bolt action for the open fields.

I have a Ruger#3 in 375 Win it shoots bug holes with the 200gr Win Factory load. I have loaded some 225gr Hornady SP but they shoot very poorly. Do you need to crimp the bullets? I used 4198, H322, and H110 the two last ones I have not tried yet.

The rifle has a very long throat.
