Your Deer Rifle,what are you taking?

At home, shotgun only, so it'll be a 12ga with slugs.

Other spots, Rem 600 in .308 with 180gr softies.

Other than gun season, I'll be using my PSE STL compound, with carbon arrows and 100gr 3 blade thunderheads.
 
well ok if we're going there ... bow season ...... PSE Xforce.......muzzleloader season .....Savage 10ML2 (bushnell dusk to dawn )....rifle ......7mm rem mag(nightforce scope)......... shotgun/muzzleloader special season ...... Mossberg 535 with deer barrel. (open sights)

700 LTR .308 with VXIII 3.5x10x50, backup....if needed....rem 760 in 30-06 with weaver 4 power...backup to both of those if scopes give, marlin xlr 336 in 308 marlin express
 
I just rebarrelled my Remington 6.5x55, so will probably take it with the 125 Partition at 3000. Otherwise, it will be my 700 CDL in 270 Win. Regards, Eagleye.
 
I have changed my mind, I am going to take my 300 wsm now in a savage rifle just because! I will also take my 300 wby for back up.

I just like a 30 cal rifle for hunting mid sized game? it offeres the best of well everything.
 
This fall wll be my first ever deer hunt. Not sure where I'm going yet, but chances are I'll be taking my Winchester 94 30-30 with a 4 power Bushnell Banner. I'll either be taking Winchester 170 gr power points or Hornady 160gr lever revolutions.If I fell like going nostalgic, I'll take my 1934 hex Mosin-Nagant, but I'll have to round up some soft point ammo first. If somehow I end up going in Southern Ontario, I'm taking my Mossberg 500 with some slugs.
 
Tikka 695 in .270win,topped with a 2-7x Nikon Monarch UCC.
Model 38 Swedish Mauser 6.5x55. if the weather gets to dirty for a scope.
 
For the stand and field overwatch it will be my Ruger #1-B in .280 with a Leupold 6x42 loaded with 140 gr Ballistic Silvertips over 52gr of 4350, and for everything else the Marlin 1895G in .45-70 with Rem 405 SP over 54 gr of H335. I always take one of my Winchester 94's for backup and nostalgia purposes, either a 20" carbine in .30-30 (circa 1950) or a 26" RB rifle in .32-40 (circa 1914)...

Browning BLR in 358 Win. handloaded with 225 Nosler Partitions & a custom Parker-Hale 1200 C in 35 Whelen handloaded with 250 gr Hornady SP for the big stuff. I also have a sweet little Remington CDL Model 7 in 350 REM MAG with handloaded 250 gr. Speer SP that is begging to be taken out ! If that doesn't work then my Weatherby Vanguard in 257 WBY handloaded with 120 Partitions :) .

I will be using my Benelli R1 .30-06 topped with a Bushnell elite 3200 3-9x40mm


Not back up but I will be bringing my Savage predator .22-250 which wears a Bushnell elite 3200 5-15x50mm. We have had our hunts interupted for the last few years by yotes/wolves and I hate wasting high end hunting bullets from my .30-06 on them ;).
