so i have a few pistols.
(dont ask how many, its not polite to ask!)

but i have come to a conclusion.... i have a dream pistol.

if i where able to get this pistol i would be a happy man, but, this pistol does not exist as of yet and i doubt it ever well.
but i can dream.

what is it?

it is a Gen5 Glock 20SF-C

so that would be a G20 in 10mm with the short frame so it dosnt have the extra girth in the hand and it would be ambi friendly since it is a gen5 which is good for me since i shoot left and be compensated, so it would have the port cuts in the barrel and slide.
and the gen4 finger grooves... ughh how i hate those!

how did i come about thinking of this?
i have a Glock 17C and i love it, i really like the compensated cuts.
i have a Glock 40 and i love the 10mm round.
i have a Glock 19X and i really love having a fully ambi glock.

so i need to mix all of those together!

im kinda thinking if they ever come out with a Gen5 G20SF i may have to pick one up and send it off to have it ported.

anyone else have a dream pistol that just isn't out there yet?
have a itch that cant be scratched?

I like the pricey race guns - like the Parrot.
While it may be available -- it's not something I could justify buying.

Definitely the Sokolovsky .45 automaster. Only 50 made commercially plus 3 prototypes.

Whats the difference between a race gun and a regular pistol? Just a lot of high end pricey parts? Easier to shoot?
Those guns are specifically made for shooting competition. Usually custom made / tuned to some degree. And as with anything if you're making a product that can increase someone's speed or accuracy you're going to charge the most you can for it. Most handguns are mainly duty guns or basic range target or defense pistols
