Your dream rifle

I am more than happy with my 300 savage , for how and where I hunt it's just about prefect.

absolutely the best combo caliber rifle that exists. i enjoyed mine while guiding.

That's a nice-looking rifle SuperCub. Is it one of the newer Rigby Highland Stalkers?

No, but those new Rigby Stalkers are what got me going on this project. I really wanted one but the cost was more than I was ready to shell out so I got asking Chris Griesbach about having one built. In the end, I think I got a nicer rifle for less. :)

Chris is highly recommended for work like this, is easy to talk to and very helpful with better suggestions to guide you along. Very nice work as seen in other guns in this thread as well.

I was able to mark off a few dream rifles this last 1 1/2 years, forget about some personal range accomplishment I hit. Those stick out bigger than the rifles themselves.

Custom rifle in 6.5 PRC on the defiance action. 1895 Winchester lever in 303 British, and a 44 mag lever. Now the last one, I did have to purchase and sell 3 times to get the one that just felt the best. Ended up with the Henry big boy model X. Just checks all the right boxes, for my usage. The marlin jm stamped just before it was checking a lot of the right boxes, but just not as much as the model X. It is now 2 weeks old and has several hundred rounds already down the barrel. Even had its first complete breakdown and cleaning session already.

I found a nice M721 BDL in 300H&H a few months ago. Not exactly a dream rifle, but a nice find esp with the rarer BDL checkering option.

Good addition to the FUDD collection. :)

There was a nice one last weekend at the Torrington gun show. No checkering, nicely refinished with a well done pad. Sights all there. Asking 895$

Dream bigger guys

Of course, the fanzoj ti kipplauf

Titanium satterlee Mauser receiver with machined in Talley mounts in 8x57 with a stainless half octagon barrel and a single blade express style sight. Wildcat stock, voere decocking safety, stainless oberndorf style floorplate and bolt handle. Wearing a 1.5-6x42 S&B zenith

Maybe the same build on a neglected oberndorf Mauser, Mexican small ring or vz 33 receiver is more realistic, or just a gussied up husqy FN. potentially something similar with a Kimber Montana.

Dare to dream though

Wouldn’t mind a euro o/u or side by side double and combo gun in 8x57 JRS

My SAKO Aiii “ guide gun” in 338 wm is pretty close to “dream gun” territory.

That's not a bad price considering what a plain jane 700 goes for these days. Brass can be problematic though.
