Your Experience with QR scope rings returning Zero

It highly depends on the brand as to quality. If you by cheapies, then you will find that your zero will most deffinately change. I have Leupold QRW rings on 2 rifles and they never change point of impact if I take the scopes off. And I quite often do this late season when its snowing hard here in the East Kootenay's of British Columbia where I hunt.

Just came back from shooting. Had the scope out of the rings and Ruger rings off the rifle. At 120yds I had to move left 2 clicks and down 1. A moose or deer at 300yds wouldn't have noticed the difference.

Have used both Leupold QR and QEW qd rings and bases over the past 25 years. They have been both reliable and repeatable in every instance of mounting and remounting the scopes on the rifles.
Originally purchased as a back up in the case of a scope failure, but have not had to do so to date. Is nice to be able to remove the scope and practice with the open sights when so desired.

Shot an documented what my experience was with taking the scope off after firing 3 shots and putting it back on again, it happened to be Close but not exact- altho it was very windy so i vowed to re do the test on a calm day at 100m :) - it ended up about 1 moa higher at 200m than original poi.

back on track now an will re do this with noting how i put the scope back on this time round.

yes they work for me. alaska llc rings, ruger own rings with a mossberg choke wrench, leupold qrw and qr, weaver steel ones with qd lever.
warne so so as i had ones that failed on a left handed ruger 375.

i used eaw in the past that was no better than others but you pay for the name.

As stated, the old Weaver rings and bases work perfectly. Other combination costing ten times as much will do just as well.

I’ve used EAW and Leupold QRW and I would only use EAW in the future. I had the EAW on a .416 RM and never had an issue of any sort. I used the Leupold on a .338 WM and the release mechanism would get tighter the more you shot it. At one point I had to use pliers to twist the release levers. Once I put it back on the levers moved smoothly and easily. Until you shot it a few times.
