High Standard also made a run of about 5,000 target guns in 380. I saw one in the late 1970s in SK. They are often on Gunbroker and sell for about 700 US if you do a search on High Standard G380. Too much hassle to import. Maybe the SK gun will turn up on the EE one day....

That gun showed up at a gun show , Saskatoon? last years or so, and 20 yrs ago , I would have bought it, to old now. I think it was in the 1000.oo range, price was alright for a super rare gun.
In 50yrs I have seen 2 in Canada
John Taylor , LDGE, had one in stock, that could be the one you are thinking about, I think that one went to a hi end Hi Standard collector in the US ;20, 30 yrs ago?

We all have done that , mine was a Lou Horton 3 in 686. and a few snake guns. and a NAA black widow 22mag 2", etc.

Well, she's gone. Went within 2 minutes of posting the ad. May have underpriced it, oh well. I think it's going to a good home. Funny how you don't fully appreciate something until AFTER you sell it! Missing it already.

Marshall. Thanks for the update. Am sure the HS 380 will turn up for sale again. Every time I look at them on Gunbroker I try to figure out a use for one of them, and I can’t come up with a good reason to buy one. Would be over $1,000 once exchange and import fees were added.

Clockwise, starting at 1:00.

H&K 4 A light double action pistol. Very accurate in my hands.

Astra 300 Beautifully made pistol.

Browning 1955. Lump on grip safety is some glued-on wood to give me a place to push. One day I will reduce the spring tension on the safety.

Llama steel frame. Barrel locks up.

Llama Airlite.

Star. Barrel locks up.

Astra Constable. All steel double action

And the AMT BackUp in the middle. Very small pistol

My favourite? The Star. Solid steel and 100% reliable. It would feel perfect in a lady's hand.

As for reliability, none of the pistols is less than 100% with FMJ bullets. Some of the oldies are not so good with Hollow Points.

I don"t have much in the way of .380's as I don't have a 12.6 and hate the look of Pinocchio barrels.

I guess this is my favourite as it's the only one i own. Nazi occupation FN 1922
