Looking for your opinions of what you favorite is, must be round nose. I would perfer standard velocity.

The reason you ask, I have noticed my 22lr semi's (rem 597, Moss 22) both tend to jam up a little when dirty and shooting hollow points which seem to be everywhere.

Just trying to make my ammo shopping trips simple, since those 22's are picky and my ruger mkIII will be happy with anything.

After years of experimenting with various brands from Eley, Win , AE, CCI....etc.

I've stuck with only two for general use and with great accuracy.....AE 40grn.....and CCI Blazers.

Which ever of the two is on sale, I'll stock up on them.

I've shot them out of everything...semi, lever, bolt.......

Relatively clean and I would say failure to fire maybe 1 out of 800......I've had 1000 go through my S&W 617 without a hitch....(maybe lucky batch).

If given only one choice....CCI Blazer.

Good day.

I ate my way through a Case [5000] of CCI Blazer ammo in about 1½ years, shooting it through mostly bolt actions, but also through a couple of older Mossberg semis. I did not have even one FTF, and possibly about 5 FTE in the semis, so It is my favorite bulk ammo. I have a fresh case started! Eagleye.

HV - CCI Blazer
SV - Federal Champion Target (Load 714)

I've had great results with both of these. I used to like AE solid points, but found that the bullets are so loosely crimped in the cases that it didn't work well in some semi-autos.
