your favorite game meat is?

favourite meat

my favourite meat is pink meat, pussy that is. but honestly of the non pussy variety i think you can't beat fresh spring salmon if that counts. for red meat you can't beat sitka blacktails shot in August when they's fat and lazy.

did you not read the thread name? it says game meat, your talking of the other meat;)

I never had elk but of all that I have tried I like moose the best. I grew up on it and eat a lot of it every year but would still rather eat moose than beef. Then caribou, ptarmigan, rabbit, ducks, geese, turrs and seal.
I have had moose 5 days out of the past week. Last night for a break I ate two ptarmigan. While I was eating them I was thinking I would rather be eating moose.

can you let me let me know what a turr is?

I would have to say Yearling Elk, closely followed by Antelope.

Cooked the right way it's all pretty good, cooked the wrong way and it's destined for the trash.

A turr is a seabird commonly hunted in Newfoundland waters. The proper name is the common murre. It is a medium sized waterbird with a black back and white breast. These birds are hunted by boat during the winter by a lot of Newfoundlanders. It can be risky business going out in the North Atlantic in winter. Great fun though and liberal limits. Lots of shooting

All of it if cooked correctly, not over done, Gator tail is a bit strong if you chew it too much:D
Farmers in Florida will catch and cut/castrate wild boar and after they fatten em up on grain , its time for a cook out.Good idea eh! and they say the meat is great.
