Your Favorite Pet rifle/load

Hey all so just thought I would just start this form for fun to see what everyone has to say.

I myself have 2 rifles i use for coyotes and groundhogs.
My number one favorite rifle for sitting in the stand is the Remington Model 788 in .222 Remington. Love this rifle. Didnt take much to find a tack driving load for this one.. The load is Winchester/Remington/Hornady brass, CCI400 Primer, 24.5gr H322 with a 50gr V-max pill. This load will shoot dimes at 100 yrds.

My Next rifle is the one i use for when were hunting coyotes with Dogs. It is a CZ550 Lux in 22-250. The load I developed is again Winchester/Remington/Hornady Brass, CCI Large Rifle Magnum Primer, 40gr of Varget with a 40gr VMax pill. This load will do 1/2 in groups at 100yrds.

I dont have any velocities on these loads since i dont have a crony but there are max loads and the 22-250 is actully over max load listed in Hornady Reload manual.
Would love to here everyone elses loads and favorite rifle.
 
In my 222 Remington [a 700 Remington Classic] I shoot the 50 V-max with two different loads, both of which shoot under ½ moa if I do my part.
1. 23.5 grains of RL 12 [no longer available, but I still have some]
2. 25.5 grains of W748.

Remington 788 in .222 Remington:
25.0 grains of WW-748 under the Winchester 46 grain HP bullet designed for the .22 Hornet.
Very accurate and very destructive.

Wichita 1375 actioned .308 Winchester with Kreiger barrel:
44.0 grains of IMR-4064 under the 155 Scenar at 2.77" O.A.L.
This performs wonderfully at 300 meters. For some strange reason it's found wanting @1000 yards.
But this one is 1/2 MOA at 300 easy-peasy!

Mauser K-98 sporterized and in .458x2inch American:
55.0 grains of IMR-3031 under the Hornady 350 grain RN.
 
Remington 7600 in 30-06 with a re-worked trigger shooting a 180gr Hornady BTSP over 59.1grs of RL-19 in a Federal case with a CCI 200 primers. C.O.L 3.218"

Edit: Just went thru my old 2010 notes. Average for ten 5 shot groups is .731" @ 100yds and 1.297" @ 200yds

Thanks all. I have herd alot of good things of the W748 in the .222. A very good friend of my also shoots .222 and he is starting to get into the reloading. He picked up some Serria 45gr Hornet pills to try in his .222. I should maybe reccomend that powder to him to try out.. His Rifle is a Mint Condition Parker Hale Safari. Shoots really good.. From the research I have done there is not many Safari in this Caliber. Maybe a someone could tell me more about it.
 
While not my favorite rifle (maybe it should be) my favorite .22 centerfire is my SAKO L461 in .222 magnum, which I believe is the best .22 of the family. Anyone familiar with those older SAKOs doesn't need to be told why I like the rifle so much. My favorite rifle and cartridge remains my Brno ZG-47 in .30/06.
 
Since we started with 222 rem, My favorite right now is 52gr. Speer HP and Blc-2 (I think about 24.5 would have to check my notes) Lots of great loads in this one.

22-250 35.4gr. 4064 55gr. Sierra Blitz. - .5 moa or better

270 win. 58gr. H4831 - 130gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips - Steady performer and essentially duplicates Factory loadings for me.
150gr. bullets - 54gr. IMR-4831 (all ww brass)

6.5x55 140gr. bullets (NP for hunting) 48gr. RL-22 (ww brass)
85gr. bullet (40gr. 4064 for plinking - same POI as 140gr. load @ 100 yards)

bunch of others..which I fail to remember.
 
For favorite loads in a 22 centerfire, out of my old custom Winchester Highwall in 219 Donaldson Wasp, here are a couple with results examples. Other targets show similar results and a definate 'preference' for 50gr Hornady V-MAX:).

Wow Johnn!! that is a nice looking rifle u got there.. They just dont make them like they used to. Dont get my wrong. The new firearms look nice to but in there own way. I still perfore the look of hand crafted wood...

Pathfinder. I also reload for my Swede in 6.5x55. I use 140gr Hornady Interlock SP right now. Have not shot any animals but one coon with those so cannot say how they perform against Deer and Moose. Im now trying out 140gr SST which i can get deadly groups with. For it I'm using 43gr of IMR4831 and a Federal 210 Primer. COAL 2.905 and im gussin its in the 2500fps area.

what rifle are you loading for ?
 
I load for 3 different calibers. .222, 22-250 and 6.5x55 Swedish. My rifle is a Carl Gustav date stamped 1900.. Ordered a new Barrel from Tradeexcanada and had a local gunsmith put it on for me. So far Accuracy is top notch.
 
M96 Swedish Mauser (sporterized) - Oberndorf 1900 - Busnell Trophy 3-9x40mm
140gr Burger VLD 6.5mm
45gr H4831SC
CCI 200 primers
Remington brass (okay once it's fire formed)
COL of 3.1" or something like that (don't have it handy but touching rifling)
Never chronied them

Manged to get about 0.8" at 100 yards from a five shot group, don't remember exact measurement and don't have it handy.

Seated to cannelure; want to try seating higher to touch rifling to see what happens

I shot a 0.75" five shot group at 50 yards with these yesterday and was happily surprised. I am going to go up and down a bit to see if I can make it better and of course test it at 100 yards but it is by far the best results I have gotten from cast bullets yet.
 
Next up the line after my 219DW is my 'inexpensive' Savage 112BVSS in 25-06. I did put decent glass on it but bang for the buck, hard to beat.

This is the first time in arriving at a decent load, the first load I put through it was 'Gold'. Haven't tried much else as I'm sure it'll be hard to improve upon what I now have.

R12 was a wonderful powder for many cartridges. Still have a couple pounds left as well.
 
Stevens 2506 75gr vmax at 3500fps
Baikal mp221 4570 factory rem 405gr shot the best so I will reload for it this weekend to duplicate. Right now it shoots 350gr hornady fp real well
