Your favorite pistol ammo

I used to use Winchester factory,as it is reliable and always goes bang, but it runs a little hot in the 147gr for PF.
I have been using Canadian BDX ammunition, or "Combat Masters", in the 124gr variety. It is as reliable or maybe even more reliable than factory, as it is certainly of better quality than winchester. Some winchester runs higher standard deviation in fps in than this stuff for sure. the stuff I tested on a CED chrony from Combat masters 147gr ran about 4.6fps deviation! I have not put the 124gr montana headed Combat master ammo yet, but I expect the deviation to be quite low. I will be using this ammo from now on.

+1 on Canadian BDX. Accurate, clean and reliable and best of all CHEAP!!!

I am 900 rounds into my shipment of 1250 9mm(124gr Montana).

I have had 1 FTE and found 1 cartridge with a partially squashed mouth, other than that no complaints.

Great to deal with too!

Eventually, that's the way to go for sure. But at the moment, if I took the time to learn a new hobby, I'd have no time to shoot....

It always surprised me how many people have this attitude. Reloading is not expensive, or complicated. Had a buddy over one afternoon, and you can probably get all your gear, learn to reload, and hammer out a few hundred rounds in a single afternoon. Hell, you might even be able to pay off the cost of the equipment in one reloading session, depending on what you're loading.

I totally agree. If you can make kraft dinner, you can make ammunition.
Yes you have to measure and pay attention to what you are doing, but the process is simple.

Started with American Eagle, then Winchester...now I'm on Combat Masters (Canadian BDX). So far I like the Canadian BDX the best, I haven't had any problems with it, that was another story with the factory stuff.

My next project will be loading my own, but until then I think I'll stick with BDX. It works great and it's cheap.

That's one afternoon I could have spent shooting. And since I only get about one or two days a month to shoot, a whole afternoon is a long time for me, especially when the range is a 45min drive from my house.
