Your favorite powder for 9mm

used tons of 231, but now I use Tightgroup. I find it to be more consistent, and cleaner burning.

I use Herco - bought 5 pounds of it @10.00 each as a clearance powder at a local store a couple of years back - I should have bought all of it. I found it produces amazing velocities in .45 ACP and is usefull in 38 spl., 9mm, 45 colt, etc.) meters like Unique, but just a littler slower burn rate. Flake type powder is not too bad to dispense if you use it in a quality measure (i.e.: do not use in Lee craptacular measures). Not so dirty as to bother me. Did I say amazing velocities?

+1 hs6.

I finished off a pound of W231 (took a couple of years) and I found some IMR 4756 for $ 16.00 a lb. Old Stock I guess.

So far, the 4756 burns decently and cleanly. I'll wait for the warmer weather to chronograph this load.

Cheers,
Barney
